    Guinness World Record Attempt - Biggest Acoustic Guitar Ensemble

    Rules and Guidelines:

    1. Eligibility

    • Open to participants of all ages who can play the guitar from beginner to intermediate level.

    • Must be residents of Meghalaya.

    2. Song Selection:

    • The chosen song for the ensemble is "Stand by Me" by Ben E King.

    • Participants are required to practice and familiarize themselves with the song in advance.

    3. Registration:

    • Registration is open until 24 FEB 2024.

    • The first 500 verified and eligible registrations will have a chance to win a sponsored Acoustic Guitar.

    4. Verification Process:

    • Registrants must provide accurate information for verification.

    • Incomplete or false information including the ability to play the guitar may result in disqualification.

    5. Rehearsal:

    • A mandatory rehearsal will be held in the Morning on 2nd March, 2024 at the Lariti International Centre.

    • Attendance is crucial for synchronization during the record attempt.

    6. Performance Requirements:

    • Participants must bring their own acoustic guitars.

    • Guitars must be acoustic; no electric guitars are allowed.

    • Tuning will be done collectively before the attempt.

    7. Record Attempt:

    • The record attempt will take place in the evening on 2nd March, 2024 at Lariti International Centre.

    • All participants must be present by 9AM.

    8. Certificate Distribution:

    • All participants successfully contributing to the ensemble will receive a Guinness World Records Certificate.

    9. Logistical Arrangements:

    • Meghalaya Tourism will assist with logistical arrangements if required.

    10. Photography and Videography:

    • Participants are encouraged to bring personal cameras for individual memories.

    • Official event photographers will be capturing moments during the attempt.
