Depart early from Shillong to visit an ancient cave system, spot wildlife, then head to East Khasi Hill’s iconic waterfall.
Siju Cave (Bat Cave)
Things to do: Explore ancient limestone cave with stalactites, stalagmites & large bat colonies
Best time to visit: Morning for calm air and cave lighting
Siju Wildlife Sanctuary
Things to do: Spot rare birds (e.g. Grey Hornbill), elephants, sambar & gibbons on forest walk
Best time to visit: Early morning (sunrise–10 AM) when animals are most active
Nohsngithiang Falls (Seven Sisters Falls)
Things to do: Photograph the mosaic-like segmented waterfall from viewpoint
Best time to visit: Monsoon (June–Sept) to see falls in full spate
