Hands-on immersion in the cultivation and processing of organic ginger and the famed Lakadong turmeric in the scenic landscapes of Mulieh Village.

Mulieh Village, located about 30 kilometres from Jowai, is widely known for its production of Lakadong turmeric — an endemic species to the Jaintia Hills with curcumin content exceeding seven other types. It also grows organic ginger, which offers health benefits such as lowering heart-disease risk, strengthening the immune system, aiding osteoarthritis and indigestion, and lowering cholesterol levels. En route to Mulieh you will witness spectacular landscapes. Participants will also learn the tradition and the process of production of Lakadong turmeric and ginger via a hands-on cultivation experience.
