Nongkhnum River Island

The largest river island in Meghalaya and the second largest in Asia is the Nongkhnum River Island. The island has a lovely sand beach, and there are many different things to do there, including camping, boating, fishing, and sunbathing on the beach. Near the Island, there are numerous waterfalls. Weinia Falls and Thum Falls are two well-known examples. On the opposite side of the island, close to Sangriang village, there are some lesser-known falls such as Lyngshiang and Weispi falls.
