The Government’s initiative through 1917 iTEAMS and the Meghalaya Farmers’ (Empowerment) Commission aims to empower farmers by providing a platform to directly sell their products to consumers through the Monthly Farmers Market. The market showcases fresh fruits, vegetables, organic produce, traditional food items, and handmade products from farmers and local entrepreneurs across the state. It creates better income opportunities for farmers, promotes local and healthy produce, encourages community participation, and helps strengthen the connection between farmers and consumers while supporting sustainable livelihoods.
